The physician and staff of the Diabetic Foot Management Center of MI, P.C. have provided numerous hours of community education and screening of the diabetic foot with subsequent treatment of numerous diabetic-related disorders, such as pressure sores, ulcerations, and infections, with limb salvage of 95%.
Infection control, with restoration of impaired circulation and physician-restricted glucose management, combined with aggressive wound care management, is the key. Emphasis is placed on patient education, daily inspection of feet, with immediate report of any breakdown of the skin.
